Q) What causes double feeds and jams?
A) A worn separator (Part # 6F1596) or feed roll (Part # 3F1525) allows more than one sheet to feed into the machine, causing doubles, jams or skewed folds. The stripper and feed roll should be both replaced at the same time to restore smooth and reliable document feeding. Note: These parts should only be replaced by an authorized Hedman Distributor.

Q) The machine stops when running a large batch of paper, then works after sitting for a while?
A) The power supply has a built in thermal limit that interrupts the power when it gets overheated. This is a safety device incorporated to prevent damage to the power supply or motor. This usually occurs when running an unusually large batch of documents. To resume operation, shut off the power, allowing the power supply to cool off, it will automatically reset, and normal operation will be restored.

Q) The paper is skewing
A) See the following steps:

1. Adjust paper guides
2. Remove the cartridge and clean with isopropyl alcohol on a rag and wipe down rubber roll
3. Clean feed roll

Q) The paper is jamming
A) See following steps:

1. Remove cartridge and remove paper, clean cartridge with isopropyl alcohol.
2. Clean feed roll
